On this day I was surprised by a new and unusual bird - someone had brought their cockatiel to the field for a photoshoot. There was also a very shy cat who did not appear to be anyone's pet. It was still a very quiet day for the goldfinches - seeds not ripe enough - but I did spot some beautiful Indigo Buntings. They have such a great contrasting colour with the bright yellow sunflowers, and they like to sit right on top and sing their little hearts out.
